I first came across the Alexander Technique when, as a musician, I was suffering from serious repetitive strain injury. I tried a whole range of traditional and complementary therapies none of which had any lasting effect. I then discovered the Alexander Technique and it immediately made complete sense...unless I could change the way I used my body, my postural habits, then I was always going to experience the same physical problems.
And it worked!
Enthused, and keen to discover more and share this with others, I completed the 3 year full time training to become a registered and qualified Alexander Technique Teacher.
I am accredited and insured through the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT).

Lessons and courses take place at my beautiful loch-side home in Shieldaig, Wester Ross, Scotland.
I also work out of Inverness for one day each week and may also be able to do home visits.
If you would like to visit Shieldaig from afar you might like to join one of my retreats or you may prefer to stay (Bed and Breakfast) in my house and enjoy one-to-one or small group lessons. For information and photos of the village and surrounding area you might like to visit this wonderful site.
During a lesson I will use gentle hands-on guidance, verbal explanation and table work. You will remain fully clothed throughout and I would recommend wearing loose trousers.
